I sit just me, or does anyone here not give a flip about these stupid credits?
Furthermore, the adspam before I go to my main page every day is just annoying.

Don't add me as a friend if:
That should cover it!
I'm under the weather (not enough to make me technically "sick" but enough that I feel like a giant ball of sludge.)
My daughter has just discovered the joy of pizza with pineapple and ham. Geesh, she's eaten TWO pieces. Now she's sucking down some of my cream soda. It's junky night. I know, I know.
I'm working on a montage of bad-women-in-prison film clips. If anyone has some women in prison titles they want to throw my way, please do. So far, I have:
Caged Heat
Caged Heat 2
Reform School Girls
The Naked Cage
Slammer girls
The Big Doll House
Charlie's Angels: Angels in Chains
I'm doing a conference this week-end on our work at the women's detention center and I'm opening the segment about stereotypes within the media (concerning women behind bars.) There are some really awesome (and terribly cliche) flicks out there.
I just need some bad-ass/cliche music to go with my montage.
This is the funniest shit I've read in a long long time. It's a piece of flash fiction (4.5 pages long.) I was laughing so hard reading this. The voice is so spot on and disturbing in a sense.
Give it a shot if you're looking for a chuckle.
Definitely NSFW and contains lots of profanity.

William Adama: We decided to play God, create life. When that life turned against us, we comforted ourselves in the knowledge that it really wasn't our fault, not really. You cannot play God then wash your hands of the things that you've created. Sooner or later, the day comes when you can't hide from the things that you've done anymore.

Tribute Video that kicks ass!

School-related work always seems to nail you right before a break. Here is my list of fun things to do over the next week or so...
19th-Century British Literature Essay
My topic is on Naturalist Literature and the concept of "the other," present within. Specifically, how this represents women in the 19th century. Mix in a little Jungian analysis of Self and Shadow (other=shadow) and there you have my paper. I'll also present the paper at a graduate student symposium. By doing this, I won't have to complete the final paper in class which means that I'll coast through the rest of the class w/o any more essay-crap to worry about.
Women's Conference
At the college, the ladies and I (from SpeakOut!) will be presenting our work through the women's prison (creative writing sessions.) I've been watching some dvd's about prison life, reading up, etc.
SpeakOut!
I'm in the processes of editing/reworking their manual for the class. Easiest of my tasks. Editing goes fairly quickly for me.
MFA Annotated Bibliography Entries
We need 100 of these for our final portfolio. I haven’t started yet. I plan to this week-end. Each annotation has to be a full page (double spaced) in length.
TILT - Certificate for College Teaching
This is an informal certificate that I can work on simultaneously with my current degree. It involves taking a class on composition pedagogy (which I’ve already finished,) engaging in 20 hours of teaching (which I am doing with the SpeakOut! program at the women’s correctional facility,) 6 seminars/conferences on various teaching topics and the completion of a portfolio which will be published online. I plan to pursue two of these degrees at once: the general college teaching certificate and the teaching with technology certificate.
Writing
There is always writing. It usually takes backseat to all over projects, but this semester I’ve spent more time on it. Happy days!
*What sucks is that the above essay is due tomorrow and I haven't started on it. I mean, I've researched and read, but haven't written any of the paper itself. 8-10 pages. It's an easy one.
I find myself on some weird-ass message boards sometimes. Here's the post. It's quite entertaining:
First off, he did some training in Japan. That makes all the difference.
Second, wtf is a demonTologist?
Third, let's say demons exist, wouldn't this be a really bad idea?
Later he posts (after getting ribbed pretty hard,)
Katana training. Right on!
That pretty much sums it up for me...
(Full Post HERE.)
I love me some Mamas today.
I think I said the c-word more today than I have in my whole life. I had to do it.
I was cranky as hell earlier today and now I'm not.
I ate some carbs.
I'm gonna eat some more here in about five minutes.
Fleener needs to get his coffee shop up so I can some get some minty num-nums (because I KNOW he'll make those.)
I'm loving Feast for Crows. Martin is the shit.
E cut her finger tonight.
She hadn't seen her blood like that before. She's no longer a band-aid virgin. I think I cried more than she did.
We got a birdfeeder and we have these cute little brown suckers with red-heads that are gobbling down our birdseed.
The bluejays are being snobs. Who knew?
I'm tired now. Gonna go watch me some Lost. Hope it's a good episode (then go check out Josue's site because he's the Lost guru.)
I love my husband.
That is all....
